This goddess I called Diosave has some peculiarities in it´s production process. I think I could say that my goal in painting is Looseness. Although I have been taught in academic drawing, I prefer to stroke as loose as possible looking for economy of gesture, without losing figuration. I also like the absence of decorations without a purpose. With that goal in mind, namely the ease and splendor of stain, the practice has made me find two ways: one in which I somehow define the character, color and gesture of the goddess. I begin painting with a preconceived idea. Of course, this idea can be changed and in fact, it does a lot. The other way begins with a kind of play with colored water. I stain in a completely free manner and this task allows that suddenly a form appears. I see a recognizable shape and begin working on it, making it grow or mutate.... I see the face, gesture and then I refine the shape and the color . This way was the origin of this current goddess that seems to be covered with a large blanket of soft colors that look like a featherdress and therefore I called it Diosave.
